The Power of Identifying Your Triggers

I was inspired to do today's episode following a conversation I had with a client of mine - we'll call him Michael. Michael was telling me this story of what had happened to him just this past week. He and his girlfriend were visiting his mother and they got into a huge fight.

I was inspired to do today’s episode following a conversation I had with a client of mine — we’ll call him Michael. Michael was telling me this story of what had happened to him just this past week. He and his girlfriend were visiting his mother and they got into a huge fight. As we began to put the story back together, we realized that they always got into arguments leading up to these visits with his mother. As we discovered, a lot of what had to do with these consistent arguments were around the relationship that he currently had with his mother. His mother was actually a trigger for him.

Triggers are all around us and a lot of us have them! So if you’ve ever been weirded out or upset by a conversation you’ve had with your mom, your sister, an ex, or your husband or wife, and you’ve been unsure of why then this episode is for you.
